Introduction

This expedition consists of three permanent members and two vehicles. It is unusual in that the vehicles are not of exactly the same type and the expedition is self funded. This expedition derived from a conversation at the breakfast table between two people who dreamed of doing something more in life.

Aims

The primary aim of this expedition has to be to safely navigate from Dar es Salaam on the east coast to Dakar on the west coast.

The Secondary aims of the expedition are.

  1. Photograph and film the journey and the areas we pass through.

  2. Study the geographic terrain we pass through for future expeditions.

  3. Observe the societies, culture and traditions and of the communities we meet.

  4. Analyze the economic ability of each nation state with reference to future trade links with that country.

After the expedition has been completed a report will be made and a copy sent to the Royal geographic society for examination. It is hoped that this report will be able to assist anyone wishing to travel to or do business in the nations covered in the report.
